"The Patience Of Salvation". Part 1

Revelation 3:10 "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." and James 1:3-4 "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." This are the main Scriptures of today Bible study by Prophet Duncan Mghendi.

Now, Patience has good reward in these Last days and of the Last Church found on the day of the coming of the Lord.

In Revelation, the Promise of "Rapture", belongs to those who shall have what is called as "The Patience Of Saints"

Also called, Patience of Salvation. In James, the Apostles records that 'Patience' needs its own time to work its way perfectly in making whole the Christian call of any man under the sun.

In Revelation, Apostle n Prophet John records that Jesus promise of 'Rapture' belongs to those who have held unto God's words Patiently thereby becoming rightful inheritors of the Promise of Jesus. This promise shall take effect in the very day of the great tribulation. Though before that day, there are several key scriptures that teach on how one should live up to the Christian standard of the Patience that Christ Jesus deems wholesome.

Matthew 18:21-35 "21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24  And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. {talents: a talent is seven hundred and fifty ounces of silver, which after five shillings the ounce is pounds shillings} 25  But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26  The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. {worshipped him: or, besought him} 27  Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28  But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. {pence: the Roman penny is the eighth part of an ounce, which after five shillings the ounce is seven pence halfpenny; about fourteen cents} 29  And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30  And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31  So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34  And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."

Every Progress of Patience is constantly accompanied with Forgiveness, for there cannot be forgiveness lest there be true Patience and Open pity.

In the Above scripture where I have also tried to give N extension of knowledge of the the values of talents of silver, is to show you the great debt that the servant owed the Lord who had come to receive His pay.

The amount this man was in debt was alot, yet the good Lord, forgave Him because this man sought His pity and for the Lord to bear patiently with Him.

The man who was servant to the King, fell down to the feet of the King when He had that the King was about to sell him, his wife, children and all properties he had, he begged for mercy and later on we see He was given mercy. The King was moved with Compassion, forgave the servant and let him be free of debt. Yet later on the servant met with a man who was to pay for the other man had his debt.

Because his fellow couldn't pay his debt, the man put the fellow servant in prison till he pays what he the debt.

Now look at this: The King Forgave His Servant who asked for mercy, and He was shown Compassion because He besought the Kings pity. The this Debt free Servant goes and Jails his fellow servant who couldn't pay his debt..... Is this Purity of service? No. For if the King forgave Him,its important too that He exercises the very nature of the king too by forgiving him who was to pay His debt.

For if the LORD has been patient with us in our lives, why shouldn't we also do the same to others. For forgiveness to those who wrong us I'd guaranteed in the purity of true patience. When we forgive we show our Patience and the work of patience is perfect peace and harmony.

The second stage of Patience is Humbly doing God's word even in your worst trial..... This is recorded in Luke.

The Apostle records: Luke 21:17-19 "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls."

Mark the last stated of Jesus, "In your Patience POSSESS Ye YOUR SOULS"...

Now, we are all For warned by Our LORD and Savior that: We Shall Be Hated by Everyone because of HIS NAME.

This is almost a word most Christians also prefer not to hear. In Salvation, patience is what Keeps your soul at peace knowing your call to Salvation is not just an easy one but one that Needs, Patience of waiting upon Jesus Christ to vindicate every step you take and every word you speak.

Brethren, your outspoken and expressive nature of us saying Jesus Is Lord amounts to deep enmity between our godliness and the wickedness that surrounds us.

Jesus said: If they listened to me they shall listen to you, if they did not listen to me, they will not listen to you. ..similarly if they Loved our LORD they'd love you, if they hated the LORD they'd hate you too.

We shouldn't be attention seekers nor people pleasers, we should humbly persevere in rejection and acceptance. For the LORD himself also was rejected in his home town. How much for us? A prophet is without Honour in his village. This was a trial of Patience which Jesus showed and humbly as a better walked out towards the next village. In that day, he also went up to mount olive and grieved deeply why Jerusalem is the city that kills those God sends to its people. And how I like the statement of the sons of thunder who asked Jesus, "can we call down fire upon this cities....?", and Jesus said to the Sons of Thunder, "Its not yet time". This is the greatest statement that sums up patience as Calm Waiting without any hidden grievance.

Jesus Christ The Firstborn Of All Creation. The First To Prove Patience Is one major Key to Salvation, also said this as recorded by the Apostle Luke 8:14-15 "And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience."

Now this is Stage two of Patience, I call it.... Fruits Of Patience...

Remember the Parable of the seeds, well the dependence of the seeds to grow and give fruits relied on the Patience Of The Heart....

The Patience of the heart of thorns was all weakened and pricked by the CARES, RICHES AND PLEASURES OF THIS LIFE.

Similarity of the good soil seed and the seed that fell on thorns was that they both HEARD THE WORD....difference is KEEPING THE WORD.

Most folks would rather quicken themselves to hearing and forgetting keeping the WORD which can only become a lifestyle if one has patience. Without patience, one can hastily forget what they've heard spoken to them as God's word.

Many people loose patience of God because of the many cares of the world, because of seeking riches and forgetting the only incorruptible riches are tied to Heavenly things and lastly pleasures of the world which last for a set time before the flesh wastes away. I tell you Brethren, to give fruit of the Word, is as simple as knowing God's timing is perfect so don't be carried away by any corruption of the world.

Cares, riches and pleasures of the world are set to pass, His word is eternal, its your peace, immortality and refuge, thereby don't allow yourself to loose patience in God's Word.

Now Stage 3,  Apostle Paul records in Romans what I call as PATIENCE THAT RESULTS TO HOPE....

Its written Romans 15:1-5 "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus."

He is the LORD our Peace.... The God Of Patience.

Only when you are strong can you then bear the infirmities of the weak. When you are spiritually weak too, you become burden to bear the infirmities of others.

When we are told to love our Enemies, is best explained as not judging their infirmities but rather bear their infirmities, become the better man by humbly showing Christ who also patiently bore our Infirmities despite our worst sinful nature. In this case on the Above scripture its written that what Christ did was prophesied aforetime, in that by reading we through the knowledge of Christ's Patience we also learn to hold unto it so we may also become hopeful in knowing the Same God who raised Jesus shall also raise us.

Romans 8:24-25 "For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."

Hope is the fruit of True Patience. Show me a person without Patience, I will tell you such as one has no Hope.

Hope is birthed in the Patience of Scripture which many general call Faith. Having hope in the unseen as though its seen..... Or as Paul says above that....we are saved by Hope....

Bearing Patiently on the LORD words, is a trial of Faith or rather Hope which you have in Christ. If He has spoken, yours is to believe without a blink of disbelief or doubt, For He is Faithful.

This term: He is Faithful has been underrated in expounding...

Its spoken in this manner and this is the truth of it: HE IS FAITHFUL TO THE FAITHFUL..

For our Hope is in Him, one whom the World rejected and crucified, and we believe in Him for we know He is God's Son, thus Our Hope should be proven by How Patient are we in our Believe in His Word. A Patient man, is a Hopeful man, A hopeful man is a Faith Moving Man, who knows how to keep and walk in the Word.

To Sarah, the Words of the Messenger Angels that were spoken to Abraham, seemed unrealistic and far fetched at her age, Yet Abraham as the receiver was Hopeful, for from the day He was called and set apart, He was Patiently awaiting the day the LORD would see His faithfulness and give him a son to inherit his estates.

The Hope Abraham had was on something unseen, Yes His faith, was upon a word he wholely believed as true yet at that time the word was not yet come to fulfillment. But come the years that followed, just as the Messenger Angels said, it do happen. All this, for close to 25 years, from 75-99, God granted Him a son.

Is this not Patience that results to Good Hope?

God is Exalted....Shalom
